Honorees

What is an Exceptional Woman of Color (EWOC) and why does THE HUB celebrate EWOC Honorees every year?

An EWOC Honoree is an unsung heroine who has made significant achievements and accomplishments that go unrecognized by mainstream media. An EWOC is a woman who effortlessly serves as a role model while juggling the multiple tasks of:

  • Being a mother and/or wife
  • Working full-time
  • Volunteering in the community
  • Mastering her career goals
  • Managing her own business
  • Succeeding in her job and receiving prestigious promotions
  • Pushing the limits of her boundaries to achieve excellence

An EWOC does all of these things in spite of the countless obstacles and insurmountable hardships that she is faced with on a daily basis. She continues to be an “overcomer”, where her smile, beauty, personality, and confidence exhibits the very essence of true success.

From CEOs to retirees, principals to mothers, this year’s honorees represent everything a woman is and can be. All of these women from across Northern California have overcome multiple obstacles to become pillars of our community.

You are invited to help us celebrate these unsung heroines by attending the 13th Annual EWOC Awards & Expo on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.
